A community educator volunteer for the Micro Entrepreneurs Women Association of Gandoca would deal in business programs for women as well as all forms of violence towards women.
Human Rights Volunteers help organizations either with the collection of data and research for reports on human rights, or as community advocates and educators regarding human rights issues. Organizations working in this field address several different human right concerns including human trafficking, labour rights, child labour rights and the rights of women and children. They are in constant need of support from motivated volunteers willing to help in the push for meaningful change.
While some Human Rights placements seek volunteers with a legal or research background, there are several placements that can benefit from volunteers with a wide range of skills. By conducting presentations and workshops, and by helping with the on-line dissemination of information, volunteers with no formal training can still have a significant impact.
