Organic farm volunteers for the Micro Entrepreneurs Women Association of Gandoca would assist in work involved in the various stages of cocoa production or other products produced on the farms.
Farming Assistant Volunteers work with organizations, schools and communities to build and maintain community gardens and to assist with the promotion of agricultural initiatives. General farming tasks often include ploughing, planting, irrigation and harvesting but volunteers may also assist with briquette stoves, solar stoves, sustainable construction or other community-based projects.
Farming Assistant Volunteers do not require any formal training or experience. A keen interest in community-based production and a willingness to assist with the physical duties on a farm, is all that is required. However, many organizations would significantly benefit from the assistance of volunteers with previous training and/or experience.
