Animal Care and Rehabilitation Volunteers assist organizations with the care of animals in their facility, as well as help with the general maintenance of their facilities and the presentation of community education programs.
While volunteers may certainly assist with the exercising, feeding and grooming of a wide range of wild and domestic animals, the care and maintenance will also include cleaning cages and other less glamorous jobs. Volunteers need to be willing to take-on the entire range of activities at each placement!
Animal care volunteers may also assist with community educational initiatives. These seminars and workshops are designed to help the local communities increase their awareness and appreciation for the importance of wildlife preservation, particularly in their locations.
