Postsecondary Groups

Post secondary volunteer groups provide a great opportunity for institutions to offer practical international experiences for their students on projects that are targeted to a specific field of study. BaseCamp's team will work closely with faculty members and students to customize each project; ensuring that we meet the academic and experiential requirements of the group while also ensuring that the project will contribute meaningful and lasting value.

With eighteen years experience coordinating international projects for post secondary students and institutions, our core program is designed to ensure that we meet the academic and safety concerns of our institutional partners and their students. In general, each group project includes the following additional support:

  • private transportation to and from the airport on arrival/departure
  • private transportation to and from the work site each day
  • a dedicated BaseCamp staff who stay with the group throughout the project
  • structured evening and weekend activities
  • professor / chaperone expenses included in project fees

With a post secondary group, the above services are optional. However, we strongly recommend including at least the private transportation as this greatly improves our ability to operate the project on schedule.

The 'Types of Group Volunteer Projects' section of the site outlines several types of projects that are appropriate for post secondary groups. If you do not see what you are looking for listed there, please fill out the Group Project Request Form and our team will let you know if your request is something that we can arrange.
